INDEPENDENT SYNC AWARDS 2025

The Independent Sync Awards celebrate and showcase the innovative use of independent music in the sync and brands landscape, these awards are exclusively nominated by delegates of the conference.

With two categories – ‘Music Supervisor of the Year’ and ‘Independent Sync of the Year’ - this is an opportunity to submit stories of interesting and creative use of independent music and to honour the heroes championing independent music in the world of sync!

Submissions are open until 5pm on Friday 21st March. Details on how to submit are provided in your ticket order confirmation.

Honouring the work of a music supervisor who is actively championing UK independent music or working with UK independent music in outstanding ways.

Eligible nominees must: have placed independent music in film, tv, ads, brands games or other visual media within the last 12 months.

Recognising a great sync story. The award goes to the UK-based sync team or solo sync expert within an AIM Rightsholder business (label/self-releaser) behind the best placement of music into TV, game, film, advert, app, or new sync model. What made this sync story special? Did the team go above and beyond? Was it innovative? Was it followed by a real moment for the track or artist?

Eligible nominees must: Be the person or team who arranged or played a key role in securing the sync, must own/control the master rights and/or composition rights to the track for sync and be or work for an AIM Rightsholder Member business.
